I suspect a Song Sparrow

I haven’t noticed any song sparrows at the feeders (or porch railings) this winter, but I am not the best at sparrow ID.

Little Brown Job(noun) Colloquial, generic term used by birders to describe small, difficult to identify birds such as relatively unremarkable sparrows, warblers, wrens or finches.

Twenty-four degrees this morning, climbing to the low 40s. Maple syrup weather. Mud season.

I am so ready for this long winter to be over. Migratory birds have the right idea.

The snow is melting but there is still plenty of it on the ground. I saw a couple of Great Blue Herons along the coast but that’s pretty much it for bird signs of spring, other than bird song.
